Portfolio Review: Adrian Varzaru
A London-based photographer and video creator has set himself a challenge to document London's growing community of running clubs. Known for his spontaneous and observational style, Adrian Varzaru focuses on capturing authentic moments as they happen to highlight the spirit of running communities. "I've been running with Runner Beans Club in Greenwich for about two years. It keeps my head clear and helps me connect with like-minded people," says Varzaru. "I started taking photos immediately after joining the club and have been doing that religiously every Saturday since."
To keep things fresh, Varzaru decided to explore different running clubs across London. "I initially found myself taking similar shots, so I started this project to challenge myself creatively," he says. "It involves exploring new routes and meeting new people. So far, I've captured 19 running clubs. My goal is to reach around 50, but who knows? I might just keep the project going."
